Our first release in 2021, "Mechanical Heart EP" comes from Tau0n ft JTJ, who've been killing it last year on Slothacid. For this EP, Tau0n aka Scott & Anais deliver the title cut "Mechanical Heart" and collaborate with LA favorite JTJ on "The Space Between", both moody sci fi inspired bangers that I have fun playing out. I love these tracks and am very proud of my friends!

It's a family reunion! With Techno flowing in their blood, Detroit’s Dantiez and Damarii Saunderson - the two eldest sons of the one and only Techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson - take us on a journey with the EP’s title track, ‘Signature Move’. Offering both a radio edit and a dub version for those late-night dancefloors, this driving slice of melodic, progressive house features enchanting vocals from the Saunderson matriarch, legendary writer & vocalist Ann Saunderson which give the track a distinct old school flavour and more than just a nod to the family’s Detroit heritage.

On the B-side is ‘Body Banged Up’ - a late-night departure from the vocal-driven title track and instead is a demonstration in how techno ought to sound. One for the warehouse raves, ‘Body Banged Up’ brings enough ethereal melody to compliment the gritty synth-work that has become The Saunderson Brothers’ inimitable sound.

With rumours of a forthcoming remix from another significant member of the Saunderson family, ‘Signature Move EP’ looks set to become one of Slothacid’s standout releases of 2020.

“Pharmacopeia” is a tribute to a show I’ve enjoyed watching in recent years, *Hamilton’s Pharmacopeia*. It’s somewhat of a personal diary through a camera lens featuring the scientist Hamilton Morris, a smart and funny character who travels the world exploring obscure drugs and famous substances. The resulting track is a trippy piece of music for all the senses. Hope you enjoy!

Directions for use: take the driving power of the track three times a night and while the groove creeps in, expect to see serious vibes being generated for all the raving sloths out there. Slothacid will be making "Pharmacopeia" available this Friday at all good audio dispensaries.
